What do Fossils Tell Us?

We know a lot about animals today because we can observe and analyze them in their habitats. What about the organisms that are now extinct? Do we know what they were like? We can tell a lot about a creature by the fossils that they left behind. These 4th graders can tell you what to look for in a fossil to learn about creatures long ago!

School "Souper Bowl" Food Drive

Once again, in conjunction with this year's school food drive ... we are bringing back our competition leading to the "Souper Bowl".  We will work to see which class can bring in the most “touchdowns”, and the grade-level with the greatest total will win the Super Bowl Tailgate Celebration.

How to get a touchdown:  For every 100 items (representing 100 yards on a football field) a class will earn a "touchdown".  Student Council Members will come by each morning to collect the food drive items.  Our School Food Drive is:  January 8, 2018 - February 2, 2018

Check out our new digital display in the main entry way to see who is leading the competition ... Thank you, everyone for your generous donations!!!!

Reading Assembly Book Challenge

Attributions:

For our 1-29-18 reading assembly, we are going to see just how well Mrs. Hill and Mrs. Brown know their favorite books!  Or ... do our students know the book(s) better?

  • Kindergarten through 2nd grade(s) are going to go up against Mrs. Hill
  • 3rd through 6th grade(s) are going up against Mrs. Brown

Mrs. Hill has picked the book They All Saw A Cat by Brendan Wenzel, and Mrs. Brown had chosen Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone.   Happy reading ... Let's see if we can stump Mrs. Brown and Mrs. HIll!
