Tea At the Whitehouse a.k.a. Spanish Oaks Elementary

Submitted by sherri.peterson on

Our fifth grade students have been busy researching a president or first lady for the past several weeks.  The unit culminated in a fun Tea At the Whitehouse celebration held for parents.  The students dressed up, drew caricatures of their chosen person, and provided clues for parents to guess who they were representing.  Refreshmnents were even served :)  A special thanks to the fifth grade teachers for all their work in organizing this great event!

Faculty Spotlight - Jessica Tobler

I grew up in a small town in southern Nevada, so I love the heat! I am currently studying Early Childhood Education at BYU and this is my first year teaching as an intern. I absolutely love outside, especially when the birds are singing. I also spend a lot of my free time (which isn't a lot) rock climbing either indoors or outdoors. I also love the ocean and hope to scuba dive with manta rays in the future.
