Go Getters For the Week at Spanish Oaks
We had a super bunch of great students this week for our Go Getters! They have worked hard to be good citizens at all times in our school.

On March 1st we had a Mystery Day in 4th grade. Students used problem solving skills to create a lava lamp bottle, find the fingerprints of a thief and team up to solve a murder mystery! Students pictured here are working together to figure who is the culprit.
Spanish Oaks PTA awarded the Outstanding Support Staff Award to Monte Billie! Mr Billie has worked at Spanish Oaks for 9 years. A third grade student said it best, “He’s funny and kind, and always willing to help." Mr Billie is polite to parents, always saying hello and asking how we’re doing. He cheerfully does the work, messes and all, that is required of him. He is approachable, and makes it possible for us to carry out PTA activities. He keeps Spanish Oaks running smoothly, and as another student said, “A great place to be.”
Spanish Oaks PTA is proud to award the PTA Outstanding Educator Award to Kim Mellor. Kim has been teaching for 25 years, and is an amazing friend, mentor and master teacher. She is tireless, making her classroom a fun & safe place for the children who are with her. She helps other teachers, and mentors many practicum and student teachers placed in her classroom. We are so lucky to have Miss Mellor at Spanish Oaks!
