Our 4th grade students went to see the State Capitol and a special exhibit commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Transcontinental Railroad. Each student got a special penny and pin to remember this unique celebration.
We have started a new tradition at Spanish Oaks. It is called the "Aim High" Award, and is an award for one child per class that has been chosen by the student's teacher. It can be for any area of great improvement by a student who has worked exceptionally hard at a goal throughout the year. They were given a spaceship cookie and the write-up from their teacher. They also got to spend some time with Mrs.
Our Kindergarten finished a great year with graduation today. They have worked hard all year, and got to show off a bit for their parents. Congratulations, students, and a big thanks to Miss Mellor for a super year!
The Spanish Fork Legion Post 68 organized the third annual Freedom Walk for Spanish Fork and Salem fifth-grade students on May 7 & 8, 2019. Members from various branches of the military came and told stories to almost 1,200 fifth-grade students from 13 schools over the past two days.
Each of our students had a great day yesterday eating pizza and creamies, and getting wet! Thanks to every student who helped us reach our reading minutes goal of 1,750,000+. That is a lot of fun adventures we were able to go on this year through books! A special thank you to our Aubrey Smith and our PTA mother helpers for helping to organize and run the relay activity, to Mr. Billie for keeping the sprinklers on for us and to Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Dewsnup and Mrs. Ivie for being our awesome pizza deliverers!
Thank you to our Choir Students and parents for an amazing Spring of singing! We appreciate all you support and hard work. Mrs. Lewis, Mrs. Robinson and Mrs. Drollinger
