Thank you for your patience and support as we navigate through this unprecedented time in education. We just want to keep you updated on what is happening in Nebo School District.

For the past couple of days and even through the weekend, Nebo teachers have been in training and preparing online materials and/or packets for their students for “at home” instruction.

Wonderful Spanish Oaks families!

With information received today, to support "At Home Learning" it will be necessary to facilitate check-out of devices that have video and audio capabilities to our students. We have a limited number of Chromebooks, so devices will be checked out to 2nd - 6th grade, with check-out to Kindergarten and 1st grade ONLY if they are the oldest student in the family. This will also allow older siblings to support younger siblings with their online work.

SORA!  All students in 2nd grade - 6th grade have a SORA account and know how to use it.  SORA can be used on phones, computers, laptops, and tablets!

If you are not receiving emails or texts from Mrs. Brown, please:

a) Check in Aspire and make sure your contact information is accurate

b) Make sure you have not marked "unsubscribe" in the Blackboard communication APP and if so, reset your password

c) Make sure emails are not in your SPAM folder

d) Consider marking emails from Mrs. Brown with star or VIP status.

We do not want you to miss important information coming from the school.

Dear Parents/Guardians:

This letter, dated March 15, is a follow up to the Nebo District letter dated March 13, and other letters that have been sent from your child’s school.  It is intended to provide clarification regarding some general questions that have been circulating.  Please help us to ensure that all parents, guardians, grandparents, or caregivers who provide student support are aware of this information.

NEBO SCHOOL DISTRICT TO DISMISS SCHOOLS -- Repeat                 

Below is the MENU that will be served this week at school for both breakfast and lunch.  Schools do not have the supplies to provide a cold "Grab and Go" this week.  We are hoping to have them for next week.  Because of this, many of our items will be served hot.  Please note we do have the ability to serve students at a school they do not attend. 

State Issues Clarification on K-12 Dismissal

"SALT LAKE CITY (March 14, 2020) - At a news conference yesterday afternoon, Gov. Gary R.  Herbert mentioned that during public school’s two-week dismissal, parents who are unable to be home with children will have the option to bring them to school to be supervised by teachers. This is not the case.

Dear Parents/Guardians:

NEBO SCHOOL DISTRICT TO DISMISS SCHOOLS

As directed by the State of Utah, all public schools in Utah will dismiss beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, for two weeks in response to COVID-19. This is a proactive measure.

CONTINUED LEARNING
School “dismissal” means that Nebo employees will continue to be in the schools providing learning for students through online instruction and/or educational packets to continue student learning. Further communication about devices and materials will come from your school.
