Here at Spanish Oaks, we have been amazed at how supportive our local businesses are of our public schools. They are so willing to donate items, give discounts, and just help out in any way possible. We just had Chick-Fil-A donate a large number of meal cards, and Fiiz a large number of gift cards. They have shown appreciation for the hard work our teachers and staff are doing. Thanks so much for their support of education, and for their donations!!
Spanish Oaks is elated to have Mrs. Sled as a new 4th grade teacher. Her favorite part of teaching is her students. She was born in Arizona, then moved to Colorado at age 7, and is currently living in Provo. When she was a kid she wanted to be a teacher, and her dream job came true! She was a student teacher in Santaquin and then helped teach preschool in Colorado for 3 years. Her favorite treat to eat is chocolate and her favorite restaurant is Art City Trolley which is located in Springville. Spanish Oaks is excited for their outstanding future with this wonderful teacher! By Kenzie Baird, Chloe Davis
The fifth grade students learned all about how school would have been if they attended in Colonial times. They dressed up, had their names changed, used no technology, wrote with ink and quill, used hammers and nails, and even had an old fashioned chalkboard. Times have certainly changed. A big thanks to the fifth grade teachers for making this a memorable learning experience!
Updates are made to the Nebo Covid Information Page regularly.
"The bulk of confirmed COVID-19 cases in our schools and communities continue to come from social and family interactions outside of school. Please follow safety guidelines outside of the school setting: limit gatherings to household-only, practice physical distancing, and wear a mask when physical distancing is not possible.
• Please stay home when sick or when waiting for COVID-19 test results. We have a surprising number of students who have been quarantined because an ill student or one who is awaiting results has come to school"
Thank you for doing your part to keep our schools open. If you have questions that can't be answered using the Nebo page please give the school office a call.
We would like to welcome Tiffany Christianson to Spanish Oaks! Tiffany is teaching an accommodated core class. She has been married to her husband for 31 years! She has four children that are all grown up, but only three of them are married, and she has no grandchildren yet. She also has a little, old, poodle mix named Ellie. She loves sports and BYU. She likes basketball, volleyball, football, or any competitive sport. Her favorite candy is Dove chocolate, yum! We are so excited to have this wonderful teacher here.
