Crystal Apple Award to Susan Phelps

Susan Phelps was awarded our Crystal Apple Award for 2019-20.  She shared the following information about herself so we can get to know her better.  "This is my sixteenth year on staff here at Spanish Oaks Elementary.  I love the administration, co-workers, and families here at Spanish Oaks and consider myself lucky to be at this school where I know that the education and well-being of each child is first priority.  I graduated from Southern Utah University with a BS in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.  Completing my education was a long-time dream come true for me.  I absolutely love teaching and spending time with children.  There truly is no more rewarding occupation outside the home.  I completed my Master’s Degree two years ago and am grateful for the things I learned.  For the past 30 years, I have been blessed to be married to Dale, the love of my life and we are the proud parents of five amazing children.  We currently have our two youngest left at home.  One is waiting to receive her mission call and the other just got home from the Washington D.C. mission.  I have four grandchildren whom I adore.  I enjoy playing tennis, camping, and being home with family!"  Congratulations, Mrs. Phelps ... we love you!
