Again, we have the most amazing students here at Spanish Oaks!  The following students were nominated and won our Excellent Explorer for Term 2.  Congratulations!!

Caleb Allen - 3rd Grade. When I think of someone who is kind, shows respect and works hard I think of Caleb. He is one of those students that I can always count on to be doing what he is supposed to be doing when he is supposed to be doing it. He is a hard worker. I was so impressed as we were getting ready for a class activity that a student in his group was having a hard time with his part. Caleb took the time to memorize that students part in order to support the student to be successful. I count myself lucky to be his teacher. - Mrs. Dimmick

Berkley Devenish 3rd.  At recess, I saw Berkley helping girls to get up onto the highest bar so they could do spins on it. She would lift them up and make sure they had a good hold before she would let go of them. She did this over and over again without any thought of her having a turn. She helped anyone that wanted a turn, not just her friends.  Angie Lindstrom

Megan Devlin: Megan has been an outstanding student this year! She is constantly looking for ways to help out in class from passing out papers and cleaning the classroom to encouraging students who are struggling. She has been a huge help to a student who needs extra support at school. Megan has a big heart and helps out all who need her. Thank you Megan for being a great example of kindness, respect, and working hard! Mr. Rigby, 4th grade

Reagan Brough (1st grade)-You can always count on Reagan to have a positive attitude. I have never heard her say an unkind thing about anyone or anything taught in class. She is always happy! Reagan is also a hard-working student. She is always willing to try new things and doesn't give up when something isn't easy right at first. Reagan is a very quiet student. As a teacher I feel like it's easy for quiet students to slide under the radar and not get the positive attention and praise they need, but Reagan is such a good student and it hasn't gone unnoticed. She is friends with anyone and everyone, she is kind, she respects her teacher and classmates, and she works hard. - Mrs. Liddle

I would like to nominate Grace Wood. Grace is always kind, respectful and works hard. Grace shows kindness by continually complimenting others. She makes everyone around her feel important and loved. Grace is respectful by always doing what she is supposed to and she worries about others and their feelings. Grace is a hard worker, she finishes all of her assignments on time. She is always volunteering to help me or her classmates and she enjoys helping Miss Mellor's kindergarten class every morning. I am impressed by Grace and all that she does!-Mrs. Dyches, 6th grade

Ruben Mendoza in 4th Grade.  Ruben has worked extra hard this year. He comes to school each day ready to work and he works hard. He has made progress in his reading levels already this year! :)  His math skills have improved as well. He is able to solve all multiplication and division facts already. He loves math and works really hard on his assignment.  He comes to school with a smile on his face and wants to talk to the teacher about his day and what makes him happy. He talks to other students and congratulates them when they succeed...even little successes. He cares about everyone around him.  Ruben is an overall amazing student that deserves to be recognized for his hard work, dedication, kindness and progress!  Mrs. Monroe
