Science EXTRA at Spanish Oaks

We are excited to offer Science EXTRA this year at Spanish Oaks!  Miss Young will be teaching this class for students in grade(s) 1-3.  Miss McKendrick will be teaching grade(s) 4-6.   
 
The class will focus on the Scientific Method, where we will make hypotheses and perform experiments to find answers.  Some of the experiments we will do will include:  reactions with sodium chloride, hydrogen peroxide, cocoa, Borax, glycerol, sodium bicarbonate, lemon juice, etc.
 
The dates and times for our class will be:  Wednesday and Friday afternoon(s) from 3:15 p.m.- 4:15 p.m., starting 2/7/18 and running through 2/23/18 (six sessions).  Classes will be held in Room 31 (grades 1-3), and Room 15 (grades 4-6).  Students must be picked up promptly at 4:15 p.m.
 
This class will be able to accommodate 20 students per teacher.  We will take students on a first come, first served basis.  If your student would like to participate, please fill out the form below (hard copy was sent home with all students on 1-22-18) and return it to the office before Friday, January 26, 2018 to register.
