Jacob Theodosis is a sixth grade student at Spanish Oaks Elementary. He was chosen as the Daily Herald's Utah Valley Student of the Week.

"Jacob is not only an excellent student, but an amazing older brother," said Theodosis' father Nicholas. "He often will take care of younger siblings without being asked when parents are sick. I could not ask for a better son."

Theodosis enjoys football, basketball, orchestra, robotics and Boy Scouts. He loves reading, especially action adventure and biographies, and has a passion for U.S. history, math and technology. He has been an after-school math tutor to younger students at his school. He also won an award for reading minutes this year.

In the future, Theodosis would love to study history or engineering. His top three school choices are Stanford, BYU and University of Utah.

"He has a passion for knowledge and a maturity that is far beyond his age," Nicholas Theodosis said. "Jacob's ability to care for and demonstrate compassion for fellow students, neighbors, and family make him an excellent candidate for recognition."  Congratulations, Jacob ... Well done!
