Ariane Brown Wengreen, a teacher at Spanish Oaks Elementary in Nebo School District, is being recognized as this week’s Utah Valley Educator of the Week.

“I love my students, the faculty, and administration,” she said.  “I have had the privilege of working with some of the best teachers out there and am grateful for their mentoring, and I still get to work with the best new teachers and learn from them, too …  At school, I love helping in whatever way I can to make a positive and fun atmosphere for all who come to our school.”

Ariane graduated Summa Cum Laude from Utah Valley University in 2008.  After interning at Brockbank Elementary, she has taught fifth grade at Spanish Oaks for nine years.

“I love fifth graders and, as of right now, I don’t want to be anywhere else,” she said.

Ariane has received a math endorsement, is working on an arts endorsement and hopes to pursue a master’s degree.

Ariane has five children between the ages of 3 and 19.  While she spends most of her time preparing for school or taking care of her family, Ariane enjoys playing volleyball, watching sports and reading.  She also serves at her church and plays both the flute and piano.
