Project Teddy Bear at Spanish Oaks

Attributions: 

It is our pleasure to participate in "Project Teddy Bear" again this year!   We will be collecting items beginning December 1, 2014 - December 12, 2014.  We will be collecting new or gently-used stuffed animals.  These stuffed animals will go to thousands of at-risk children in Utah.  Our goal for "Project Teddy Bear" this year is to collect at least 100 stuffed animals.

Persuasive Writing in Third Grade at Spanish Oaks

Mrs. Olsen and Mrs. Dimmick's 3rd graders are working on their persuasive writing skills by writing a persuasive paragraph convincing Santa to hire them as an elf to help out at the North Pole.  Good luck, third grade!!

Buddy Reading at Spanish Oaks

Every week Mrs. Dimmick and Mrs. Olsen combine their 3rd grade class with Mrs. Olsen's Kindergarten class for Kindergarten buddy time. We read the Kindergarten books with them and do sight word practice to help the Kindergarten students learn their sight words.  We love our buddies!

Miss Robison's second grade class was busy, busy, busy during the two days before Thanksgiving.  They found many ways to show the gratitude for all they have.  Fun was had by everyone!

Miss Robison's class enjoyed the play "Miss Nelson is Missing" at the Scera Theater.  The play was great and the students had fun doing activities with the play and book when they returned to class.

Miss Mellor's Thanksgiving Feast at Spanish Oaks

Kindergarten students at Spanish Oaks had their very own Thanksgiving Feast today.   Each student was given an assignment to help prepare for the feast.  They made turkey sandwiches, pudding cups, nut cups, veggies, kabobs and even made a place settings for each child at the tables.   The students said, "It was fun being able to cook our own feast!"
