The Rotary Club of Spanish Fork and the Red Barn of Santaquin invite you to a Fall Fundraiser at the Red Barn on Saturday, October 10 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Any donation accepted for fun-filled activities including: Sing for Shoes Karaoke, Face Paint for Families, Water for Wearables, Fish for Food Fishpond, and Bob for Buttons Apple Bobbing.
Miss Robison's first grade class was the winning "Extraordiberry" class for the month of September. They had the most "Extraordiberry deeds" performed around our school. They earned an extraordinary celebration with Mrs. Brown ... Congratulations, and keep up the great work students!
Over 400 students, along with some siblings and parents, participated in Walk/Bike To School Day on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 for "International Walk to School Day." Many came dressed in GREEN to show their support, and as a reminder to "go" safely along streets as you walk and bike to school.
Come to our PTA Book Fair and find monster deals on great books! Our Book Fair will run October 19-22 from 8:30am-4:00pm, and will be open late during SEP Conferences on Wednesday, October 21 until 8:00pm. Parents are welcome anytime! Come shop for your family, begin your Christmas shopping or find a great 'thank you' gift for an amazing teacher.
Chrissie Robinson-Kindergarten
Chrissie grew up in Spanish Fork and has been married for 9 years. She has two kids that are 5 and 2. She has worked in the Spanish Oaks special needs preschool for 7 years. She have a special place in her heart for children with special needs and their families. Chrissie believes in early intervention and knows that it truly works. She loves music, dance, spending time with her family and teaching. She is doing a fantastic job in our Kindergarten and the students love her!! We are so glad to have you, Mrs. Robinson!
This third grade class has been practicing their fluency with Readers Theater. They learned about September authors, sandwiches and not blaming others.
Wednesday, October 7, 2015 is International Walk to School Day at Spanish Oaks Elementary! Please join us in promoting healthy habits of exercise, being outdoors and walking/bike safety. Students, staff and faculty are invited to wear GREEN this day to help us remember to walk/bike safely. Parent helpers will be strategically placed along the way to school, watching for students who are following the safety rules and making healthy choices.
Spanish Oaks had 124 students participate and submit Walk More in Four entry forms during the month of September. Each of these students will be entered into a state-wide drawing for bikes, scooters and helmets. The class with the most participation was Mrs. Dyches/Mrs. Taylor 6th grade class, and the 6th grade, as a whole, had the most forms submitted.
