What a great bunch of readers!  In an assembly to reward the great reading going on at Spanish Oaks, we had a special visitor do some magic tricks for us!  Ronald McDonald himself celebrated 1,056,043 minutes read by our students.  Our bike winners are Adaline Rowbury from Mr. Rigby's sixth grade class, and Logen Bringhurst from Olsen/Dimmick's third grade class.  Congratulations to those two students, as well as to all the book and poster winners.  Also, a special thanks to our PTA for setting up such a motivating and fun assembly!  You rock, Mrs.

Spanish Oaks ARTS EXTRA MIRRORS AND MASTERPIECES ... Students, teachers and parents alike had a wonderful time as they joined us for a trip into the world of art.  A special "thank you" to Mrs. Carolyn Aagard, Mrs. Stacey Johnson and all of the outstanding volunteers who helped make this an amazing day of learning and fun for our students!

Miss Lybbert's first grade class had the most bucket fillers for the month of December!  They were treated to root beer floats by Mrs. Brown in a congratulatory party!  Thanks so much, students, for filling our buckets!

SEP Conferences will be held at Spanish Oaks Elementary on Wednesday, January 14 and Thursday, January 15 ... PTA Golden Apple Award for Outstanding Educators:  We would like to congratulate Carolyn Aagard, a first grade teacher here at Spanish Oaks, for being chosen for the PTA Golden Apple Award!  The PTA Golden Apple Award for Outstanding Educators recognizes a professional educator currently working with students in grades preschool - 12th.  Mrs. Aagard, who was nominated by a grateful parent, is a loving and caring teacher, dedicated to the growth and well-being of her first grade students.  We are proud of you, Mrs. Aagard!

The race is on!  Which class has collected the most box-tops this year?   We will see ...  The race for the 2014-2015 school year will end on February 20, 2015, so please collect as many box-tops as you can and turn them into your teacher.  The winning class will receive a pizza celebration!  Funds received from box tops help buy school supplies for our school.  Thank you so much for your continued support.  Keep collecting and bringing in your Box-Tops and ...
