On Tuesday, April 15, 2014, the Crystal Apple Award was presented to Emily Monroe at Spanish Oaks Elementary. The Crystal Apple Award is given to teachers that show devotion to students and outstanding performance in the classroom, and is awarded by nomination from the school faculty. Mrs. Monroe is adored by her students and loved by the Spanish Oaks faculty and staff. She has been teaching at our school for two years with our students of highest need. Collaboration and positivity are some of her many strengths. Whether it be with students, parents, or faculty members, she always makes everyone feel important and special.
