Third grade had the opportunity to learn about owls today. One of our third graders (Richard Gull) has an uncle that has many types of birds. He very graciously gave us the opportunity to ask questions about his owl Archimedes.

Sing-A-Round the Tree at Spanish Oaks

We had a great time singing Christmas carols around the Christmas tree today.  Each grade level led the students in a song, then during Up On the Housetop a visitor came, dressed all in red with a white beard.  There is always so much Christmas spirit in an elementary school, it is the greatest place to be this time of year!

"Secret Santa Service" Happening at Spanish Oaks

We have had some "suspicious" looking children in Christmas glasses sneaking around our school this month.  And a lot of good things have been anonymously happening in classrooms.  "Santa's Secret Service" has been busy spreading cheer.  Each class has another class to secretly serve in any way they choose.  It has been so fun to see the students at "work".

Sled Races

Our faculty had 10 minutes to create a sled that they thought would be the fastest.  Mr. Murray was sure he had the best plan, but our fifth-grade team worked together and actually came up the winners.  It was such a fun, stress-releasing activity!
