Treasures of the Week at Spanish Oaks
We love our "treasures"!
We love our "treasures"!
We have a great bunch of students that were chosen for our treasures this week. Thanks for a job well done, students!
Fifth grade enjoyed a day in colonial times. From dress to colonial school practices to no technology, the day was a great way to learn more about this time in history.
The Spelling EXTRA Club Spelling Bee was a blast! Mrs. Aagard did a fantastic job as the judge; she was excellent. The students did a great job and had fun! We are so proud of them ... ALL the students in the competition had nerves of steel!
The winners were:
Aidan Huhtala, 1st Place
Anabel Chavez, 2nd Place
Allison Christiansen, 3rd Place
Thanks to all who participated in making this a success, especially Ashley Christriansen, who organized and implemented our Spelling EXTRA program, as well as this celebration event!

Every week teachers send the name of someone in their class who has been a "treasure" that week. We announced their name(s) today and invited them to come to the office for a special "thank you"! They added their personal quilt square to our “We Matter” quilt hanging outside the main office!! Thank you, students, for doing things that matter at Spanish Oaks!
We had a great time with Willy the Wolverine and a group of awesome athletes from UVU today as we celebrated reading. Our two bikes went to Jenna Woods and Sam Jones. Congratulations! We were also able to give certificates for two more bikes to our Walk More in Four school winners, Kolton Friel and Benjamin Bigler. Keep on reading!
We celebrated with a number of our students yesterday in our Reflections assembly. Thank you to the PTA moms who spent so much time in making this a success! Congratulations to our winners who will be moving on to the next level, and thanks to all who entered and participated!
This week in Mrs.
Mrs. Phelps' class had the most "treasures" for the month of October, so they were treated to a fun treasure hunt from Mrs. Brown, complete with chocolate milk and cookies at the end.
