This year at Spanish Oaks we have been using the book "Ordinary Mary's Extraordinary Deed" for our theme. Our students have been highlighted for extraordinary deeds they have done for their schoolmates, teachers, faculty and staff. Here are our "extraordiberries" for this week! Extraordinary job, students! We have had a "berry" good year!
Spanish Oaks Elementary was the recipient of several awards that were presented in an assembly yesterday. We won $150 from the SNAP Safe Walking School program through the PTA, and several scooters and helmets were given out, as well. We were also awarded $1,000 from Trustlands for a picture of students using our new chromebook lab that Mrs. Brown sent into a competition. We are excited and want to thank those involved in giving the school these awards.
We enjoyed a great concert by our choir yesterday! It was very entertaining as we listened to the songs and watched them dancing. A special thanks to Mrs. Christensen and Mrs. Aagard for time and effort thoughout the year. Also, to Mrs. Drollinger and Mrs. Dallon for their help on the piano.
What a beautiful day of running fun! Go third graders (and teachers)!

Our PTA School Carnival was a HUGE success!! A giant "thank you" to Kelly Burtenshaw and Emily Gunderson, as well as ALL of the countless PTA Board members, volunteers, teachers, last-minute helpers and ... YOU! Thank you for coming out and spending the evening with us ... Your support for our school is greatly appreciated!
