The first graders had several members of the community come to talk about their careers and get the kiddos thinking about what they can be when they grow up! "Thank you" so much to our special guests!

Wednesday, March 12, Diamond Fork Junior High School came to share their talents with the 6th grade students of Spanish Oaks Elementary. In trying to promote the arts program, Diamond Fork Jr. High had a short performance for the students who will be joining them next year at the junior high. Demonstrations were provided for the different types of instruments, using some popular music from movies and radio. The performance was capped off with a percussion extravaganza! Five percussionists, using 7 trash cans, put on a fun final number of rhythm.
Thank you to our very own Officer Hooley for working with our 6th grade students; helping them to make wise choices about drugs, gangs and violence.
