Third grade had a great day preparing for Harry Potter fun in their classrooms. Each student got to wear the sorting hat and was put into a House, where they will earn points throughout the next term. There will be feasts, playing quidditch, and other various activities that will add to the fun of school!
Who are the cute kids behind the spy glasses? It's Kindergarten kids on a 2-D Shape Hunt! Students put on their super spy glasses and walked around the school hoping to spy 2-D shapes. We were successful and found numerous Squares, Triangles, Rectangles, and Circles, We hunted and hunted for a Hexagon and finally found one in our Kindergarten classroom. Hooray for 2-D shapes.
After learning and exploring the different attributes of each 2-D shape, Kindergarten students built their own 2-D houses. Each student used squares, triangles, rectangles and circles to make a yummy house for a snack. We love learning about shapes!
Kindergarten students are all decked out in their new class t-shirts. What a fun field trip! We loved learning the process and watching our shirts being printed. We can't wait to wear them and show our school spirit.
Here are some pictures from our race car ramps to learn about potential and kinetic energy. We had a great time building and trying out our ramps.

Our first grade students did an amazing job performing for their grandparents on Friday. There was a great turnout, and the children were so excited to share the songs they have been working on. A big shout out to the students, first grade teachers, parents, and grandparents for their part in a successful activity!
Today our Kindergarten students had a visit from one of our local firefighters, Mr. Matt Taylor. We loved learning about his job and what he does as a firefighter in our community! Thank you, Mr. Taylor!
