We are finishing up our year with 6 fabulous students chosen as our Excellent Explorers.  Any student can be nominated by teachers, staff and/or students here at the school, then those that have been nominated are given anonymously to our student council who vote on the  top 6.  A big shout out to the following students for term 4:

Cam Clayson, 1st Grade.  Cam is a friend to everyone. He is never mean to others and includes everyone. He is a good example to the rest of his classmates of how to be on task and complete assignments on time. Even when something doesn't come easy, he just keeps working at it until he understands. He has a positive attitude about everything we do in class.  Mrs. Liddle

Kalia Mendoza AM Kindergarten.  Kalia is a wonderful student. She has worked so hard this year to master her letters, sounds and sight words. She not only works hard at school but she also practices at home and is always prepared with her homework. Is not afraid to try new hard things and she always does her best! She is such a good friend to everyone in our class. Kalia is kind, thoughtful, helpful, and such a great helper. She is such a positive example in our classroom and I love seeing her smiling face everyday. Miss Mellor

Presley Williams, 3rd Grade. I have been so impressed this year with Presley‘s work ethic ... She works hard at every single thing she tries. Sometimes things are really hard, but Presley does not give up. She keeps trying and practicing and trying and practicing until she gets it! Presley is also very respectful ... Every time she sees me in the hall she goes out of her way to say hello and smile. Presley makes coming to work every day so much fun, and she sets such a good example for what it means to be a hard worker! Mrs. Kali Brown

Tanner Christiansen 4th Grade.  Tanner has been working hard all year and putting forth an extra effort to do well on his work--especially in keyboarding. His hard work paid off and he was able to go to the keyboarding competition. Not only has he done well academically this year, but I have counted on him to help other students have friends. He reaches out to those around him and makes everyone feel happy. He has a lot of funny jokes that make others laugh and want to be his friend, and he never excludes anyone. He is an excellent example of being kind, showing respect, and working hard!  Megann McKendrick

Carrie Kimp-6th grade.  I would like to nominate: Carrie Kump 6th grade. Carrie is a kind, thoughtful, considerate person to not only her friends but to her classmates and teachers. She is a hard working student and takes the time to be helpful to others and offer support when needed. More recently, I was able to witness the kind and loving way she cares for her younger brother. In a situation when she very easily could have chosen to be angry or upset, she chose to show love and compassion, and help her brother feel the unconditional love he so desperately needed in that moment. Carrie is an exceptional young woman and I am so glad to know her. Teresa Winkler

Nash Carlson - 3rd Grade.  Nash has been an example of being kind, showing respect and working hard all year. He is an example to all of the students around him. He makes good choices and is a leader who other students follow. He is respectful of everyone. He includes other students who are having a hard time. He works hard at everything he does. I am so lucky to have him as one of my students.  Mrs. Dimmick

Thanks, students, for all you hard work and great example this year!
