PTA 'Health and Safety Week' October 7 - 10, 2019:

  • Monday

"I pledge to keep my hands off drugs"
Wear RED to school.
- Teachers talk with students briefly on the importance of respecting our bodies and keeping them safe and clean from harmful substances.

  • Tuesday

"I pledge to walk to school safely"
Walk or bike SAFELY to school, or as you leave school.
- Teachers talk with students briefly on how it is important to be aware of your surroundings so that they and others are safe.  Also, to never walk alone, if possible.

  • Wednesday

" Don't stand by, stand up, stand strong, stand together"
Wear CRAZY or missed matched SOCKS.
- Teachers talk with students briefly about how are words and actions can harm each other.  Here is a quote you can use as a guideline: "I will not use my hands for hitting or my words for hurting others.  I will use them only for helping."

  • Thursday

"I've got the power"
Wear WHITE to school.
- Teachers talk briefly about making wise online choices.  Hand out the bookmark and use that as a guideline to talk with the students.

We appreciate your continued effort in helping the students be aware of good and healthy choices!

Sincerely,
