Our Excellent Explorers for this term are an amazing bunch of students!  They go the extra mile to be kind to others and help out in their classrooms.  We are proud of them and so lucky to have them in our school!  They are:

Penny Albiston-4th Grade. Penny is a bright and cheerful student who comes to school every day ready to learn. She is always encouraging her peers and offering to help them when they don't understand something, or acting as a mediator during group activities. She goes out of her way to include others and make them smile or feel good. Penny always tries her hardest in everything she does and she never gives up when she doesn't understand something right away. She is an all-around great student who cares for others and tries to make everyone's day better.

Stana Heap-3rd GradeStana is an amazing and thoughtful student. She is kind to everyone, no matter if she knows them or sees that they have a need when she is walking by them. She is one of the most thoughtful, loving and understanding kids that I have ever met. If there is a need, Stana is the first one there to help. She does not help half way, she puts her whole heart into taking care of others. Stana is also full of excitement, her excitement is contagious to everyone around her. She makes your day happier and makes you smile every time you interact with her. She helps to make our class a more thoughtful, happy and exciting place."

Maia Baird-5th grade. I would like to nominate Maia Baird to be an Excellent Explorer. Maia is a student that goes above and beyond in all that she does. Maia makes sure to work hard in the classroom and outside of school. While in class she is very focused and thinks deeply about her work. She doesn't give up is something is a little difficult but welcomes the challenge. Maia is very helpful and serves her classmates and her teachers. She is always trying to lift others up by making them laugh and is never afraid to be her true self. Maia is the perfect example of what it means to be an Excellent Explorer.

Kamryn McDaniel-2nd Grade. Kamryn has always been a great student. She is always on task and works really hard, but this past month I feel that Kamryn has shown that she deserves to be an Excellent Explorer. We have had many students absent in our class this past month and Kamryn is the one who is willing to cover their jobs without me even asking. She recognizes that a job needs to be done and she does it. She notices when others try something new or work hard and she lets them know that they did a great job. She is good at letting me know, as her teacher, that I am doing a great job or she loves an activity we did, which of course always makes my day to hear this. Kamryn has a heart of gold and deserves to be recognized for her kindness and helpfulness that shows every day in class.  Mrs. Robinson

Jack Buhler-3rd Grade. Jack is a wonderful example of someone who gives their all in everything that they do. He comes to school each and every day ready to learn and contribute to class. He works hard and goes above and beyond in class. He looks out for others and is always willing to jump in and help anyone. He is respectful, thoughtful and caring to his teacher and to his classmates. He looks for the positive in every situation and helps others to see it as well.   Mrs. Stewart

George Massamini-AM Kindergarten.  George is an amazing helper and student!  He is kind, thoughtful, helpful and a great friend to everyone in our class. He will go out of his way to make others feel included and ask them to join in and be a part of the group.  He is a wonderful student and does an amazing job of listening and following directions and being respectful when I am teaching. He works so hard on practicing his reading skills and is becoming a great reader. He is not afraid to try new and hard things and is always pushing himself to do his best work with everything he does.  He is a great example to friends and I can always count on him to be a leader and helper in our class.  I love having George in my class!    Miss Mellor
