Ms. Weeter-First Grade

Submitted by sherri.peterson on

My name is Madison Weeter, and I graduated from Brigham Young University this past April in Elementary Education with a minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). I had the opportunity to do my student teaching here at Spanish Oaks and am so excited to start my first year of teaching here as well! I was born and raised in Tennessee, where my parents still live, and moved out to Utah to pursue an education. I chose to become a teacher after watching my mother teach at both the elementary and middle school level.

Color Monsters in First Grade

Submitted by sherri.peterson on

We did an activity in 1st grade called color monster. We read the story color monster as a class and it is about our emotions and how colors represent different emotions. We discussed how we can feel emotions at the same time and when water is added sometimes our emotions can disappear or blend together. These are drawings from our first graders of their emotions on the first three days of school.
