We enjoyed our Rodeo Reading Assembly yesterday, and are so appreciative of Spanish Fork City presenting that to us each year. We had "horses" to ride, a hat stacking "barrel racing" contest, a shoelace tying contest, and a bike give away. Our two bike winners were: Jessica Bishop and Marleigh Loveless. Congrats!! Our reading goal for this year is 1,250,000. That is 1,440 days or 34,560 hours of reading. Wow! That is a little higher than last year's goal, so they challenged us to "Read More!" The Rodeo reading calendars will come home on Monday and the contest runs throughout that month. Two students will then be drawn out to win boots, a cowboy hat and Wrangler jeans to wear to the Spanish Fork Rodeo, which they will also win 2 tickets to attend. Also, 2 rodeo tickets will be given in each grade level. That's worth reading for, right? Let's get those books open, Explorers!
