Over 400 students, along with some siblings and parents, participated in Walk/Bike To School Day on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 for "International Walk to School Day." Many came dressed in GREEN to show their support, and as a reminder to "go" safely along streets as you walk and bike to school.
Students walking, biking or riding their scooter safely, and using sidewalks and crosswalks received a green paper to put in a prize drawing canister when they arrived at school. Twenty-four lucky students won a cool GREEN prize at the end of the day. A special "thank you" to the parent volunteers who helped hand out green papers and reminded students to always walk safely to school each day. A "shout out" to Mrs. D'Dee Rex for organizing our activity ... We are SAFE at Spanish Oaks!
