Kindergarten students had a visit this past week from Mr. John Baird a local bee keeper.Mr. Baird shared with students how a bee keeper prepares a hive for the bees to live in. To keep our students and teachers safe, we have taken your feedback and come up with a new Drop OFF /Pick UP protocol that will hopefully meet the needs of everyone.
Our wonderful PTA has updated our "Teachers' Favorite Things" display outside the office in the East hallway of the school. The purpose of this display is to not only get to know our amazing teachers better, but in the event a parent or student would like to "gift" them something, this information will help with useful gift ideas. There are items listed from their favorite snack and hobbies, to classroom supplies they could always use more of! Please feel free to take a look the next time you are at the school!
This week teachers sent the name of someone in their class who was a "treasure" this week, doing things that matter. We announced their name(s) on Friday morning and invited them to come to the office for a special "thank you"! Each weekly recipient added their personal quilt square to the “We Matter” quilt we have hanging outside the main office. They also got to choose a treasure from our giant treasure box. Students MATTER at Spanish Oaks!

Please have your child bring this form back filled out (please see attachment) no later than Monday October 3, 2016 so we have time to send them off in the mail.
