Spanish Oaks School Board Presentation

Submitted by kali.brown on

On 10-11-17, Spanish Oaks Elementary presented to the Nebo School Board!  Three (3) members of our Student Council:  Ella O’Gwin, Natalie Christensen and Colton Johnson, shared our school's theme (Be Someone's Hero) and motto (Be Kind, Show Respect and Work Hard).  They were followed by Emily Gunderson, our School Community Council Co-chair, who discussed how we are using School LAND Trust funds at our school to support student learning.  For our finale’, we were proud to share the talents of our very own Spanish Oaks Choir, directed by Maren Christense

Pumpkins Galore!

Submitted by sherri.peterson on

In connection with our science unit, the third graders at Spanish Oaks have been working on creating their own pumpkins.  Each student was given a pumpkin that was grown for them by Mrs. Dimmick's dad.  They spent time observing the pumpkins and then creating their own drawing of pumpkins.  Stop by and see our "pumpkin patch."

Time for Box Tops at Spanish Oaks

Submitted by kali.brown on

It is time for our first round of Box Tops!  We are collecting October 16, 17 and 18!  We would love parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc., to clip, collect, and send them with your child to school.  Each classroom has a special Box Top container.  You can find Box Tops on lots of packages ... everything from cereal boxes to tissue boxes.  Each Box Top clipped is worth 10 cents for our school ... which adds up quickly when we all turn them in.  Thank you for your support!
