Kindergarten Kids were "Busy as Bees" this week. We turned our classroom in to a beehive as we learned about the life cycle and life of a bee.
These were some of our jobs inside the hive:1. Guard: the hive and don't let bees in who do not have the correct scent or know the secret flying pattern.2. Garbage Workers: work constantly to keep the wax and debris out of the hive.3. Food Gathers: Bring pollen back to the hive for the colony.4. Queen Bee: lay the eggs and lead the colony.5. Queen's guards: protect the queen as she lays the eggs and keep her cool by flapping their wings to circulate the air. 6. Nursery Workers: feed, and tend to the new eggs as they are growing to adult bees. What a fun day!Attributions
