Quidditch as a Class Reward
Mrs. Stewart’s class earned a class reward this week and were able to play quidditch. They all had a blast and it was fun to watch them all cheer each other on.

We have been learning about force and motion in third grade for the last couple of weeks. Today Mrs. Stewart’s class experimented with golf balls and ping pong balls trying to get them onto a target by applying force. They had so much fun and had a great discussion about mass of an object and applying force to move the objects.

We have so many super readers at Spanish Oaks it is hard to choose just a few, but these students were exceptional readers this past month. They each got to pick out a book, and McCade Miller and Alicia Ayala were our two bike winners. Congratulations everyone!
Miss Mckendrick is a 4th grade teacher here at Spanish Oaks. Her favorite part about teaching is the kids' funny personalities and stories that they tell. If she wasn’t a teacher she would be a famous singer and dancer because she is amazing at singing and dancing. Her dream vacation would be somewhere warm like by a beach in Hawaii, with Acai Bowls. She grew up in American Fork and Highland, Utah.
Mrs. Lindstrom loves to sew, go camping, knit and hang out with her kids. Her favorite soda is Coke. She loves to read, garden, and work on projects. She has been working at Spanish Oaks for 15 years. She grew up in Lindon, UT. Her favorite school subject is math. She tries to look at the positive side of things. She is a grandmother of nine kids, and she doesn't like the wind in Spanish Fork.

Though we are small in number this week, we are not small in the number of great things these students do here at school! Great group!
Our 1st-6th grade students attended Kids Day at BYU for their Women's basketball game yesterday. They had a great time and did a superb job of being respectful! We were specifically invited back due to our excellent behavior. Way to represent and be an example of ... Being Kind, Showing Respect and Working Hard, Spanish Oaks students!
