Miss Robison's first grade class did major surgery today on some words, learning how to "cut out" the extra letters and then "stitch up" a contraction. It was fun times for all!

The Crystal Apple Award is an award given to a teacher each year that has been voted upon by their peers. Our Crystal Apple award winner has 6 kids, loves mint chocolate ice cream, Olive Garden, and both BYU and the Jazz. She likes to camp and hike. She loves to spend her time with her 2 grandbabies, and has a son on an LDS mission.

Way to go parents ... your children look fantastic all dressed up for Decade Day at Spanish Oaks! Ask your student how their teacher was dressed, and if they learned any new/old dance moves ... It has been a blast at Spanish Oaks today! Big thanks to Mr. Gregg Crockett for teaching different decade dance moves, and a HUGE "thank you" to Dawnyeil West for arranging this amazing week of fun! Our school ROCKS ... literally!
Wednesday, 2-03-16, is "Decade" Dress-Up day at Spanish Oaks! Students and faculty are invited to come dressed in their favorite decade attire, i.e., 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, etc. Come join the festivities and be ready to dance to the beat! Thank you, PTA, for an amazing Staff Appreciation Week of groovy FUN!
Our class was lucky enough to have one of our district art specialists, Mr. Wood, came to demonstrate an art project for our students. He showed our students how to use a source of light to make a snowman and shadow.
