Crystal Apple Award Recipient at Spanish Oaks

The Crystal Apple Award is an award given to a teacher each year that has been voted upon by their peers.  Our Crystal Apple award winner has 6 kids, loves mint chocolate ice cream, Olive Garden, and both BYU and the Jazz.  She likes to camp and hike.  She loves to spend her time with her 2 grandbabies, and has a son on an LDS mission.

This person is an amazing teacher, organized, patient, innovative and would do anything for anyone.  She has been teaching for 6 years.  Have you guessed who it is?

A big congratulations to Susan Phelps, first grade teacher, for winning this award!  We think you are amazing!

Dancing Through the Decades at Spanish Oaks

Way to go parents ... your children look fantastic all dressed up for Decade Day at Spanish Oaks!  Ask your student how their teacher was dressed, and if they learned any new/old dance moves ...  It has been a blast at Spanish Oaks today!  Big thanks to Mr. Gregg Crockett for teaching different decade dance moves, and a HUGE "thank you" to Dawnyeil West for arranging this amazing week of fun!  Our school ROCKS ... literally!

GAINS Art Lesson in Third Grade

Heidi Dimmick

Our class was lucky enough to have one of our district art specialists, Mr. Wood, came to demonstrate an art project for our students. He showed our students how to use a source of light to make a snowman and shadow.
