Spanish Oaks Presents to School Board

We were so excited to spotlight our school at the April School Board meeting and thank the School Board members for their support and involvement!  Our presentation began with Shauna Warnick, a parent-member of our SCC, spotlighting some of the great things happening at Spanish Oaks, i.e., collaboration, EXTRA Teams, teacher excellence, etc.  Following this report, we were so pleased to present a scene from our school play, Alice in Wonderland, recognizing Miranda Duke, our outstanding parent volunteer,

Kindy 500 at Spanish Oaks

Spanish Oaks amazing kindergarten students traveled the United States today and took us along for the ride!  Our students dazzled parents and guests with their renditions of:  God Bless the U.S.A., Grand Ole Flag and Life is A Highway.   Our student body then cheered them on as they "drove" through the halls of our school in their custom-made vehicles.  Ka-chow!

April Fools Day at Spanish Oaks

Submitted by kali.brown on

April 1st not only brought SNOW (what???!?), but lots of fun jokes for April Fool's Day at Spanish Oaks.  "Teacher, my mom accidentally washed my class shirt the night before our program (light green) with a red towel and now it's PINK! ... April Fools!"  Typed note on our fancy new copy machines indicating that, "The copiers are now 'voice activated' ..." resulting in teachers shouting their copying codes into the machine to try to get them to make copies!  Classic pranks and good sports all around!
