We are excited to present our new calming room here at Spanish Oaks, called "The Clubhouse".  This is for students who may be sad or upset about something and just need a few minutes to calm down and feel better.  Teachers send them down with a ticket and Mrs. Dewsnup is there to greet them, help them check in and find a spot and an activity to do until the 10 minute timer goes off, then hopefully they are ready for a great return to class.

We have had a super time in school so far!!  Lots of fun getting to know you activities, team building, book reading and just getting back into the swing of things!

This year Mr. Murray is going around and having students sign his smiley shirt.  The teachers choose a student that has had an exceptionally great week, and they get to sign.  The shirt will be on display in the office :)
