Santa Visits Each Classroom at Spanish Oaks
Our special guest, Santa, went to each classroom and visited with the students, leaving them each a treat. They are all so excited for him to come visit again on Christmas Eve!

We had a great time singing Christmas carols around the Christmas tree today. Each grade level led the students in a song, then during Up On the Housetop a visitor came, dressed all in red with a white beard. There is always so much Christmas spirit in an elementary school, it is the greatest place to be this time of year!
Two students got to ring our bell this week! Way to go!
We have had some "suspicious" looking children in Christmas glasses sneaking around our school this month. And a lot of good things have been anonymously happening in classrooms. "Santa's Secret Service" has been busy spreading cheer. Each class has another class to secretly serve in any way they choose. It has been so fun to see the students at "work".
Our faculty had 10 minutes to create a sled that they thought would be the fastest. Mr. Murray was sure he had the best plan, but our fifth-grade team worked together and actually came up the winners. It was such a fun, stress-releasing activity!
Mathnasium workers volunteered at our school yesterday in the second grade. They had some great games and activities that the students loved. Math can be fun :)
Our winners of our Staff Ugly Sweater Contest are Gabe Hoffman, Mindi Pincock and Debbie VanHouten. Emily Monroe was chosen for the cutest. Our secretary didn't enter the contest, but was also chosen for her creativity!
A great bunch of students! To be chosen the week before Christmas, with all the crazy, is awesome!
We have so many goals being met, sometimes by whole classes! Congrats and keep up the good work, students!
We are so proud to present our Excellent Explorers for Term 2:
