First Grade Treasures Go on a Treasure Hunt
Mrs. Phelps' class had the most "treasures" for the month of October, so they were treated to a fun treasure hunt from Mrs. Brown, complete with chocolate milk and cookies at the end.

Our Spanish Oaks SPED Team was pleased to attend The Learning Edge Conference together ... "Growing the Minds of All" was the focus, with speakers presenting ideas on growth mindset, meeting the needs of gifted and talented students, the powerful tool of story, etc. It was a wonderful team building opportunity and we are grateful for the day spent learning alongside each other.
Thank you to everyone who browsed our PTA Book Fair last month. The fair was a huge success! In addition to getting great books into students' hands, the PTA was able to purchase $1200 in new books for our very own school library, and buy over 100 books to give away FREE to students at our reading assemblies. A big 'thank you' to Spanish Oaks parents for promoting reading in our school!
Look at what a great bunch of students that were chosen for our Treasures this week. Nice job, students!
An audience full of respect and appreciation met the Veterans of our community as they entered our school today. We are deeply indebted for the sacrifices they, and many others, have made to ensure that we can enjoy life as we know it. Our choir and our 5th Grade both performed beautifully, and we enjoyed a slide show put together by Mrs. Brown of all the relatives of students, faculty and staff that are Veterans. Thank you, Veterans!
The Spanish Fork Chamber of Commerce presented our school with a $500 check for being one of the top schools with the most student participants in the Play Unplugged Progam. James Patterson was also presented with a brand new bike for being the top participant from our school! A huge thank you to the Chamber, and to James for helping out our school!
Our third grade students had the opportunity to have Thanksgiving Point come and present about the life cycle. Students were able to see mill worms in each stage of the life cycle. They were also able to open a tulip bulb and discuss a tulips life cycle.
