Just a quick reminder about Spring Break. There will be no school from April 5th-9th.  See you on Monday, April 12th!

Mr. Murray was very touched by the award presented to him yesterday.  He is the recipient of the Crystal Apple award, which is an award voted on by the teachers and staff at the school.  He has done a great job of acclimating into our school culture, making each of us feel appreciated and supported.  Congrats, Mr. Murray!

A huge congratulations to our very own Steffani Waggoner, who was awarded the Outstanding Employee Award in our collaboration meeting yesterday.  Steffani is always so willing to help with anything needed and always does it with a willing attitude and smile.  We appreciate her SO much here at Spanish Oaks.  Thanks, Steff, for all you do!!

It's a small group, but a great one this week!!  Thanks for working hard to be a True Gritter.

We enjoyed a presentation by our GAINS specialist Laura Brockbank today.  She came, dressed in full Scottish attire, and taught us about how the bagpipes work, then played several songs for us to enjoy.  It was so much fun, and we enjoyed having her with us.  Thanks,  Laura!

We have another great bunch of students chosen to sign Mr. Murray's hat this past week.  Thanks, students, for a job well done!

We know some students in our school who "really get it" when it comes to exceptional behavior!  We would like to recognize them for having a positive impact on our school.  They have each made a special effort by performing remarkable behavior.  Congratulations to the following students:  

What an amazing group of students this week!  They were chosen out of their classes for having a great week.  They got to sign Mr. Murray's cowboy hat for the "True Gritters" of the Week.

The third grade classes were able to watch the Perseverance rover land on Mars. They were so excited to see it descend onto the planet and especially when they saw the footage from the rover on the surface.

Our PTA is excited to invite our school community to join us in celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week Feb. 22-26.
