Science In Action in Mrs. McClain's Class

Submitted by sherri.peterson on

We have been studying gravity and air resistance in science. Today we put our knowledge to the test with an egg drop. Students studied videos of parachute drops to gather information on how a parachute works. They then applied our knowledge of gravity and air resistance to design their own parachute and platform to protect an egg dropped from the top of the school. You can tell from the students' expressions which designs were successful and which were not!

We are so sad to be losing our head lunch clerk, Shiloh Slaymaker.  She has been serving our school for 14 years now, and has been amazing!  She is transferring to another, larger school in our district that needs her expertise.  We will miss you, Shiloh!!

Storytelling Virtual Field Trip

Submitted by sherri.peterson on
Third grade enjoyed a virtual field trip to the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival. They loved hearing all kinds of stories from different storytellers every day. This festival is always so good, and we are glad we got to enjoy it again this year, even if it was in a different format.

Second Grade Shirts are Here!!

Submitted by sherri.peterson on

Look at what a great bunch of students we have in Mrs. Brady's second grade in their colorful, new shirts!  We won't lose them in a crowd!!  It looks like they are ready for our Spirit Days on Friday, where the class with the most shirts on gets a prize!  We will be starting that as soon as every grade has their shirts.
