Submitted by sherri.peterson on

We are thrilled to welcome Jonathon Grosdidier. He loves to be with his class and help them learn concepts. He was born in Murrieta, California, which is about 45 minutes north from San Diego.  He loved to be near the beach, the Dodger Stadium and DisneyLand. His favorite restaurant is In-n-Out. He always thought that it would be fun to go to Bali! He worked at Orchard Hills Elementary for 1 year before he came to Spanish Oaks. He has a 14 month old daughter. That is all about Jonathon Grosdidier. By Ryder Zahrt, Sebastian Tinoco

50 Fabulous Days of School

Submitted by steffani.waggoner on

Kindergarten students celebrated "50 Fabulous Days of School" today!  We dressed in our finest 50's style clothes and came ready to rock and roll our counting skills.  We counted to 50 by 1's and 10's many times.   We attempted some 50's dancing with the  Twist and  Hand Jive.  Then finished off our fun filled day with  a yummy rootbeer float.   Hooray for our Fabulous 50's Day!

6th Grade Day of the Dead Celebration

Submitted by sherri.peterson on

Our sixth grade has been working hard writing about and gathering artifacts to put together tributes to special ancestors in a Day of the Dead Celebration.  They each created a display to share with their fellow 6th grade students about their chosen ancestor.  This activity was part of a social studies unit on cultures and traditions that have become part of our Spanish Fork area.  It was a special celebration of the lives of some loved ones who have moved on.  Nice job, students and teachers!

Ghostbusters and Monsters and Witches, Oh My

The teachers and staff at Spanish Oaks had a great day today with their students enjoying Halloween.  We went trick-or-treating in the morning, and enjoyed individual class activities and parties throughout the day.  It has been a great day for all!  A big thanks to parents who helped to contribute treats, crafts and other supplies to help make it happen!
