We love to have Mrs. Nelson join us in third grade to teach us more about writing. Today she came in to teach us about subject verb agreement and the students learned so much and had a blast having her come to visit !
Our third grade classes had a great time getting sorted into houses for their upcoming Hogwarts activities. Our sixth grade students cheered them on and welcomed them into their houses as part of the fun.
“Ants ants ants (A) digging in the dirt dirt dirt (D) underneath the grass grass grass (G) all the way to China China China (C) ...” What a super fun way to learn some of our notes for our 6th grade early morning orchestra class!! You are awesome, Miss Walker!! Our musicians are already doing so great!!
Book fair week has begun! Look at all these excited students from Mrs. Dimmick's class making their book wish lists. It is such a magical time for them!
A big thanks to Mrs. Johnson from our PTA for all her hard work and hours put into making this a success!

"Carter and Emmalynn Hawks took a family trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico where they found out about how we got our Spanish Oaks Explorers mascot ... They were able to learn some cool things about the two Spanish priest Explorers that Spanish Oaks mascot is named after. They visited an old Catholic church in Old Town Albuquerque that these explorers stayed in during their Dominguez-Escalante expedition. They also saw the monument of them in Green River, as well. Cool stuff! The kids felt proud to be an Explorer!" Thank you, Hawks family,
As part of our Health and Safety Week, we had a crazy sock day. We love that our school nurse, Amy Chea, joined in the fun!
Our very own student council was fortunate enough to attend a leadership conference at BYU, where they learned how to be awesome leaders and friends to all students at our school!
