During this holiday season, the faculty and student body of Spanish Oaks Elementary School have been engaged in some "Secret Service" around the school.  Each class chose another class to serve in some way throughout the month.  Among the numerous services performed, we witnessed such things as:  desk washing, class decorating, treats given, letters written, books created, songs sung and ornaments designed for class trees.  The students used our "secret service" glasses as they snuck around the school doing their good deeds.  This has turned into such a fun activity

Our fifth grade students did a fantastic job sharing with their parents what they have learned about reading music and playing the recorder.  They have worked so hard the past several months to learn a variety of songs, from Beethoven to Jingle Bells.  Congratulations on a job well done, and a special thanks to Miss Babcock who worked so hard with the students in preparing for today.

Mrs. Brown was so excited to host our monthly reading celebration with a student from each class who had completed their reading goal for this past month.  They got to decorate (and eat) Christmas trees.  That green frosting was mighty good!!  Thanks to our PTA for helping to organize and set up this great activity!

Third Grade Christmas Program

Our third grade students have worked so hard learning songs, choreographing dances and learning parts for their program presented to parents and family last night here at Spanish Oaks Elementary School.  We loved the variety, and the opportunity to view first-hand the creativitiy of the students.  The parents enjoyed joining-in for a lively version of 'Have a Holly Jolly Christmas' to round out the night.  Well done students, and "thank you" to the third grade teachers for their hard work!  The night was a huge success!

Our combined choir students did an amazing job in their performance last night for their parents and friends.  They have worked hard and were so excited to share the songs they have learned.  A special "thank you" to our choir leaders, Mrs. Christensen and Mrs. Aagard, for all their hard work, and to our choir piano player(s), Laurie Dallon and Katie Drollinger, for their dedication and service.  Nice job, students!
