Submitted by kali.brown on

It is our pleasure to participate in "Project Teddy Bear" again this year!   We will be collecting items beginning December 1, 2015 - December 15, 2015.  We will be collecting new or gently-used stuffed animals.  These stuffed animals will go to thousands of at-risk children in Utah.  Our goal for "Project Teddy Bear" this year is to collect at least 100 stuffed animals.

Submitted by sherri.peterson on

We had a great Road to Success Reading assembly today, where the UVU Wolverine, and several baseball and soccer players came to get us "pumped" about reading.  We gave away a ton of books, and our favorite ... two brand new bikes!  Our bike winners were:  Taiya in Mrs. Graham's class and Jacob T. in Mrs. Lewis/Anderson's class.  Congratulations, you two ... Keep on Reading!

Second Graders in Mrs. Graham's math class had a snowball fight today!  After throwing all the "snow balls", each partnership picked one up, unfolded it, and solved the double-digit addition problem together.  Students then repeated the process ... Everyone had a blast learning math!

New Dictionaries from Nebo Credit Union

Submitted by sherri.peterson on

Several days ago each third grader was given a dictionary by Nebo Credit Union.  Students spent time finding words in their dictionaries, finding information about different states, discovering who the 21st president was, and learning about the sign language alphabet. These dictionaries stay with the students at the school all year and then they are able to take them home.  Thank you Nebo Credit Union!
