We are so sad to be losing our head lunch clerk, Shiloh Slaymaker. She has been serving our school for 14 years now, and has been amazing! She is transferring to another, larger school in our district that needs her expertise. We will miss you, Shiloh!!
We are so excited to share with you our first 2020-2021 Excellent Explorers for our first term of school. They are an amazing group of students, who have consistently shown gratitude, resilience, initiative and tenacity. They were cheered for by the student body, got to eat with Mr. Murray on a “special” table, and are now in our newsletter. Congratulations to each of you on a job well done. Here are our award winners:

Look at what a great bunch of students we have in Mrs. Brady's second grade in their colorful, new shirts! We won't lose them in a crowd!! It looks like they are ready for our Spirit Days on Friday, where the class with the most shirts on gets a prize! We will be starting that as soon as every grade has their shirts.
This Friday, September 25th, we are having our first "Grit Day" to go along with our school theme. If your child would like to dress in western wear, that would be great! Cowboy hats will be allowed on that day. Hip, Hip, Hooray!
Students in Mr. Rigby’s 4th grade class are learning about wave patterns. Are those gummy bears? Looks like fun! If you have a 4th grader, ask them about this fun experiment!
On Friday, 6th grade held their annual Slip ‘n’ Slide. The student-led event committee organized setting up tarps on the hill and turning on the sprinklers. The rest of the 6th grade students then joined to enjoy the epic slide. It was a wet, exciting afternoon to remember!
It's a small group this week due to lots of other things going on, but it's still a great group of students chosen for our "True Gritters" this week!
