A Great Job on Reader's Theater in Mrs. Stewart's Third Grade

The students in Mrs. Stewart’s class have been practicing their fluency, accuracy and expression by working in groups reading Reader’s Theater. They have been practicing for the last couple of weeks and were able to perform them in front of the class today. They did such a great job !

  • Outstanding Educator- Susan Phelps
Mrs. Phelps is in her 16th year of teaching at Spanish Oaks and currently teaches first grade. She is an amazing teacher who has a passion for education, building students confidence in themselves, and who also contributes to the PTA by volunteering her time and support at PTA activities. Students love to see her at local Spirit Nights and helping with Carnival games in the Spring.

Staff Spotlight Mrs. Dewsnup Specialist

Mrs. Dewsnup loves to garden, read, and go camping.  She has been working at Spanish Oaks for 15 years.  Her favorite drink is Diet Coke.  She loves to hang out with her kids in her free time.  She grew up in Mapleton, and her favorite school subject is reading.  She has 9 grandchildren, she likes to travel, and go four wheeling and fishing with her husband.

Tiffany Taylor Spanish Oaks Teacher of the Year

"Mrs Tiffany Taylor is one astonishing teacher.  Almost all of my children have had her as a teacher.  She has a special way of making each child in her class feel like they are seen, heard and loved!  She takes special attention when I’ve reached out to her and expressed concerns about one of my children.  Not only does she keep an eye out for them, but she reaches out to specific individuals to help her, help them!  What a great example of how to serve and love others.  Mrs Taylor instills confidence in her students by acknowledging them in their hard work an
